How Secure is the LowPriceWireless.com site?  What happens when I put my credit card number into your site to pay my pager bill or buy a pager or cellphone?

When ordering a product from LowPriceWireless.com's web site, we electronically scramble the data through SSL encryption codes. Your Internet browser must support Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption and we recommend that it support 128-bit encryption strength. Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.0 or higher or Netscape Navigator version 3.0 or higher will be able to submit an order here.

What should I do when my pager doesn't work?

Complete the following steps:

  • Turn the pager off then on again.
  • Make sure battery is fresh and inserted correctly.
  • Page yourself at least 3 times from a touch tone phone. Key in all 1s, then all 2s, then all 3s.
  • Make sure you are in an area in which you normally receive pages.
  • Check pager for physical damage.  Physical damage needs to be taken care of by the manufacturer, contact them, or call us, for information on how to get manufacturer warranty work, or repairs.
  • If you still do not receive any pages, call the Customer Service Center at 800-480-3107 and leave your name, number, best time for our customer service representative to contact you, and a brief description of the problem. 

How do I record the greeting on my pager with standard service?
   

  • Dial pager number from touch-tone phone.
  • Press 0 during the greeting.
  • Enter access code.
  • Press 11 to access greeting recorder.
  • Press 30 to record greeting.
  • Press 1 to stop recording.
  • Press 40 to review your greeting.
  • Press * for help.

What options are available for paying my LowPriceWireless.com invoice?

Yes, as long as the service is with LowPriceWireless.com .

How many numbers can I have on my paging device?

The number of phone numbers allowed on a pager is unlimited. The charge for each additional local number is $4.95.

What type of coverage does LowPriceWireless.com offer?

LowPriceWireless.com offers a variety of coverage options including:

  • Premiere (includes two coverage areas and voicemail, only available in the Western Region of the U.S.)

Can I upgrade my pager to a newer model?

Yes. This can be done at a local office or by calling our Customer Service Center at 702-870-7700 or by contacting us via e-mail.

How long will my battery last?

Approximately 30 days.

Will my voice mail and/or numeric retrieval still work even if my pager is turned off?

Yes. It will still record even if you have it turned off.

Can my home phone be forwarded to my pager?

Yes. Contact your local telephone company for forwarding instructions.

How old do you have to be to activate a LowPriceWireless.com pager?

You must be 18 years of age or older.

Do I need good credit to get a pager and service from LowPriceWireless.com?

No, there's never a credit check.

Please explain the steps taken to set up my pager so it will work in my city, and how will it be shipped?

First, we take the pager you've selected out of our inventory of high quality pagers.  Via a computer interface, your pager is activated.  The computer will select a pager number randomly, based on the information you've provided (area code, city in which you live), and will activate your pager with wide area coverage in your home area (example: if you live in Los Angeles, your pager would be activated with Southern California coverage which includes southern cities such as San Diego, eastern cities such as Palm Springs, and north to Santa Barbara).  Any other options you desired would also be activated at that time (i.e. voicemail, nationwide roaming, etc.).  Voicemail will automatically be activated if you've selected the Premiere Service Package.

Pagers are shipped, including battery, instruction manual, and paperwork.  Typically, your pager will be sent via the United States Postal Service, and will be insured.  Overnight shipping is available.

What happens if I move?

When you purchase your pager, you have two options.  You may take the regional special, capable of being reactivated for any area in the original region of purchase, or you can buy a pager with a nationwide frequency (the same cost, but slightly more for added features).  If you think you'll be moving, it is advisable to purchase a pager already on a  nationwide frequency, there is no charge for the update when you move to a new area.  Via a very sophisticated computerized system, your pager's number will be changed and your home coverage area will now be your new calling area. Please contact us with any questions you may still have in this regard.   We want you, our customer, to be completely satisfied with your paging service, and will provide a pager and service perfectly suitable for your special needs.

Why buy a pager when I have a cellular phone?

We're in the cellular phone business, and we encourage our clients to use both technologies for the following reasons:

  • Cellular signals aren't as reliable or as dependable as pager signals.

  • Cellular phone costs remain substantially higher than paging.

  • Cellular phone service requires a credit check and a long term contract, neither of which is required to acquire a pager.

  • Many people simply forget to put their cellular phone on a charge, and they find themselves unreachable.  With Flex technology, battery life in most pagers is 5 times longer than in years past, and most consumers leave their pagers on, 24/7, and remain in touch.
